Mammography is the most effective means of detecting breast cancer at its earliest, most treatable stage. Doctors Imaging Group offers state-of –the art digital mammography technology and patients can feel comfortable that board-certified radiologists specializing in breast care can read and interpret exams with expertise. Our facility is accredited by the American College of Radiology in both mammography and breast ultrasound.
Doctors Imaging Group is dedicated to the fight against breast cancer. All women are at risk for the disease and we strongly emphasize that regular screening may provide our most important tool for detecting early breast cancer.
Digital Mammography is a safe, low-dose x-ray picture of the breast that allows early detection of breast cancer. During an annual screening mammogram, images are taken of each breast from two angles. A diagnostic mammogram may take longer as it requires more images to rule out abnormalities. If additional information is needed, a breast ultrasound or breast biopsy may be required. |
