About Us

MRI

The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) exam is a modern way of looking at disease processes without the use of radiation. It combines a powerful magnet with an advanced computer system and radio waves to produce highly detailed images of the body and changes in tissue chemistry. It is particularly useful diagnosing conditions of the brain, spine, abdomen and joints.

Our MRI suite is spacious with natural lighting and we offer a variety of comfort tools including headphones for music and a two-way communication system to speak to the technologist anytime during the exam. If you like, you can even bring in your own music to listen to during the exam.

For more information on preparing for your MRI:

  • A representative will call you prior to your appointment to review specific instructions.
  • Wear metal free clothing and remove any metallic objects such as jewelry, watches and hairclips.
  • Inform your technologist of prior surgeries, metal implants, pacemakers or aneurysm clips.
  • Please arrive 30 minutes early to complete registration and review the MRI screening form.

Note: For Breast MRI ONLY "Wash under arms and breasts the day of exam, but do not use deodorant, powder, or lotions until after the procedure. A two piece outfit is suggested for comfort."
